About Jiwoo Lee…
Jiwoo Lee is a Film and Media composer, orchestrator, and arranger currently based in Los Angeles. She grew up in Seoul, South Korea, and attended SookMyung Women’s University before moving to Los Angeles to receive her Bachelor of Music Composition for Visual Media at Musicians Institute in 2023. She recently received a film scoring certificate at Accademia Musicale Chigiana in Siena, Italy, and was taught by renowned film composers and orchestrators Pete Anthony, Patrick Kirst, and Lawrence Shragge.
She started playing classical piano at the young age of 5 and expressed great passion and talent for piano and composition. Whilst honing her skills in classical piano, Jiwoo learned to appreciate music in visual media and was fascinated by the importance of film music. Her fascination flew her across the world and led her to pursue a career in Film/TV music composition. Jiwoo is now working as a freelancer, composing original pieces for independent directors and artists at Art Center, Musicians Institute, and more. She plans to expand her skills to be able to work on various projects with various artists.
