Jiwoo Lee is a Los Angeles-based composer, orchestrator, and arranger specializing in Film and Media. Originally from Seoul, South Korea, she began her musical journey at the age of five with classical piano, showcasing a natural affinity for composition and performance. Her passion for storytelling through music led her to pursue formal studies at SookMyung Women’s University before moving to the United States, where she earned her Bachelor’s degree in Composition for Visual Media from the Musicians Institute in 2023. Jiwoo further honed her craft at the prestigious Accademia Musicale Chigiana in Siena, Italy, earning a film scoring certificate under the guidance of world-renowned mentors.
Jiwoo is now an accomplished composer and orchestrator, collaborating with industry luminaries such as Lawrence Shragge and Anna Drubich, as well as independent directors and artists across the globe, from the United States to Korea. Her work spans a diverse array of genres, including film, TV, games, advertisements, and classical music.
With a unique ability to blend orchestral and electronic elements, Jiwoo’s compositions are both versatile and evocative, reflecting her deep understanding of music’s role in visual storytelling.
